Minerva Tanseco’s birthday is almost always a month-long celebration. Her roster of friends is quite an assortment — politicians, entrepreneurs and ladies who lunch — and all coordinated with each other to host a succession of birthday celebrations for the gracious lady.
Several gatherings were held for Minerva: a birthday lunch with her “Friday dancing” group, a special lunch buffet at the Hyatt City of Dreams Manila, and a joint grand asalto with Sen. Cynthia Villar hosted by the endearing Alice Briones at Fairmont Makati’s Spectrum restaurant.
Celebrations like these certainly provide the opportunity to renew old friendships and strengthen new ones.

Charity begets charity
The lovely socialite and active philanthropist Tessie Amparo recently hosted a luncheon for her friends who have been supporting her advocacies. Leave it to Tessie to make a thoughtful gesture of thanks to those who extended their help at her charitable events.
By the way, Tessie, the Inner Wheel Club of Manila (IWCM) president, received the Outstanding Leadership and Community Service award recently. She also received, on behalf of her club, the much-coveted Hall of Fame and International awards.
