MANILA, Philippines - Colors came to life at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel during the launch of Nippon Paint (Coatings) Philippines where the worlds of architecture, interior design, commercial and home improvement retail were brought together to celebrate the paint company’s foray into the architectural coatings segment in the country.

Guest speaker Malaysian Ambassador Dato’ Mohd Zamri bin Mohd Kassim delivered the key address, stating that the management of Nippon Paint Malaysia Group has helped in demonstrating further friendship between Malaysia and the Philippines. He added that Nippon Paint’s entry in the Philippines should be viewed as a catalyst to fuel innovation that would ultimately benefit every Filipino through knowledge transfer as well as creating more job opportunities.

At the launch, Nippon Colour Creations tinting machines were put into action as group general manager of Nippon Paint Malaysia Gladys Goh demonstrated to hosts Gabe Mercado and Angel Jacob the ease and convenience of producing any color preference in less than five minutes. The company also launched the Nippon Momento Special Effects, a range of textured paint that comprises of Elegant, Sparkle Silver, Pearl and Gold variants; and Enhancer Series — Snow, Pearl and Gold Frost/Cloud Pearl and Gold.

Nippon Paint’s coating expertise dates back 133 years. Today, it is Asia’s leading coatings manufacturer — operating 56 manufacturing facilities in 15 countries throughout the region with total group sales revenue of $5.4 billion.
