Best place for summer bonding
It’s summertime and when mothers bond with their daughters, the first thing that pops into their mind is finding the perfect place for quality time.
For the very stylish Salome Dy and daughter Stefani, the one place that tops their list is the very luxurious resort in Mactan Island, Cebu — Plantation Bay Resort and Spa. The resort — all 11.4 hectares of secluded grounds of it — reminds them of the clean elegance and laid-back life on a colonial plantation.
The resort has extensive lagoons for safe and refreshing dips as well as fun activities out of the water. Moms and the young misses will definitely enjoy the gondola ride, fishing and learning how to paddle board across the lagoon, as well as many more activities the resort has to offer.
Moms and daughters can also take their pick from the most colorful fish tails and learn just how to move so elegantly in the water like a mermaid — arguably, the one thing, besides being a princess, most young girls like to fantasize about.
In her recent visit, Salome also had the most unforgettable and revitalizing massage at Mogambo Springs, Plantation Bay’s equally famous spa that is built like an 18th-century Japanese village. She also enjoyed her dining adventure at Plantation Bay with four professional restaurants to choose from.
Impeccable accommodations, pulsating dinner shows and warm courteous service all spell a vacation extraordinaire!

A big party for the little man
Cytherea Global Cosmetics Inc. president and owner Shelly Lazaro and her husband Jet pulled out all the stops to celebrate their firstborn Aiden’s first birthday. The party, with “Milk Mustache and Cookie Bash†as the theme, was held at the Grand Ballroom of Mandarin Oriental Manila.
Shelly, a former Best Dressed awardee, together with her husband and little man, who looked adorable in matching bow ties, treated the guests to a delicious lunch at the spacious and elegant ballroom that was transformed into a magical place for the young tykes and the kids-at-heart to delight in.
Fun and games were lapped up by the children, their parents and guardians. They also enjoyed an extravaganza featuring a ventriloquist and a magician.
Among Aiden’s godparents who were present to share in the merriment were Marian Ong, Christine Bersola-Babao, Maridel Villavicencio of Triple V, Jing Sarao, George Tagle, Kim Lokin, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Jeffrey Santos, Benjamin Wu and Milk Wang.
May the Lord bless you always, Aiden! Congratulations to the proud parents!
