An evening of music & dance

The members of the Catholic Women’s Club (CWC) filled the Main Lounge of the Manila Polo Club in fetching jewel-colored gowns for a fund-raising event in support of the organization’s various charitable causes. 

Emceed by Chloe Periquet, the program featured sterling performances by the dapper bari-tenor Jack Salud and Aliana Neri.

The night had the CWC members surprising the audience with their energetic dance parade.  The affair was capped with ballroom dancing that lasted through the wee hours of the morning.

Relatives and close friends of the Aquino clan gathered at the opulent home of the endearing Pepita Imperial-Aquino to celebrate the 103rd birth anniversary of her late husband, former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) secretary Baltazar “Tasing” Aquino.

Every year since the passing of her beloved husband, Pepita has never failed to celebrate and remember the meaningful life of the family patriarch. A solemn Mass started the intimate gathering followed by a mouthwatering and delicious lunch that was truly enjoyed by everyone.

The celebration ended with Pepita and selected family members including Dette Aquino-Tan, Baby Aquino and Rose Imperial sharing wonderful stories about the well-lived life of a loving husband, caring father, loyal friend and hardworking government official that was Tasing Aquino. It was definitely a day full of fun, laughter and excitement as the ever gracious Minerva Tanseco organized a spectacular party for the people closest to her heart. The said gathering is a yearly event hosted by Minerva as her way of saying “thank you” to her friends who have remained by her side all these years.

A delectable and mouthwatering array of dishes, personally chosen by Minerva, was served for all the guests to enjoy. Meanwhile, exciting games prepared by the endearing hostess kept the guests up on their feet, with everyone wanting to win and take home the wonderful prizes.

Leave it to Minerva and everyone’s sure to have a fun and great time. Until next year’s celebration!
