The best is yet to come
After taking stock of the year that was, we can say it has been a rewarding one. We had our share of adversities last year (who didn’t?) but, as a whole, it was marked with both professional and personal triumphs.
We have much to be grateful for: Good business, well-meaning friends, a clean bill of health and a loving family. There is no better venue to celebrate our blessings with our friends than at the elegant Champagne Room of the legendary Manila Hotel.
Our friends from the diplomatic community and the corporate world mingled over a thanksgiving dinner of succulent and flavorful dishes and refreshing desserts amid the Champagne Room’s ritzy, Old European interiors and Manila Hotel’s impeccable staff service.
Chilean Ambassador Roberto Mayorga and wife Paulina, the hardworking Manila Hotel president Joey Lina and McDonald’s Philippines founder and chairman George Yang even obliged the audience with a couple of their favorite songs.
Everyone toasted to good times, past and forthcoming. Cheers!
Life if lived as one’s heart leads is a life well-lived. Have a meaningful Valentine’s celebration everyone! Chef Celes Odsinada (second from left) is assisted by Rizza de Guzman of Unicomm Food Corp. in demonstrating how to make cake pops and pralines using Collata Passionata flavored and colored chocolates and baking cocoa. The demo was held last Saturday in front of Kitchen Elf, supplier of baking and confectionery ingredients, packaging and equipment, at the Evia Lifestyle Center along Daanghari in Las Piñas City. Assisting them are Queenie Labasan (left) and Jose Jay Analupa of Kitchen Elf. Collata chocolates are mid-ranged products processed from the finest Indonesian cacao. The Passionata line, good for candy making, chocolate molding and cake pops, includes strawberry pink, lemon yellow, grape purple and apple green.
