An exciting culinary journey

A sumptuous feast greeted the discerning foodies of Cebu as the premier five-star destination in the Queen City of the South, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu (MPPC), launched its grandest culinary journey to date.

The gastronomic event, dubbed as Chefs United, was held at Miele Guide’s fifth best restaurant in the country, Café Marco. It featured the delectable specialty dishes of the hotel’s highly-skilled chefs using organic ingredients, under the supervision of well-respected culinary guru Jessica Avila. 

Guests were graciously welcomed to the event by the indefatigable MPPC general manager and Marco Polo Hotels Philippines area general manager Hans Hauri along with the hardworking hotel staff.

Spain is known for being one of the world’s top producers of the finest wines. Bringing the acclaimed Spanish wine variants closer to the hearts of the metro’s A-listers is the ever-gracious Tita Trillo of Titania Wine Cellar as she hosted an intimate tapas and wine party at the elegant Salon de Ning of The Peninsula Manila.

Guests were treated to a sumptuous array of Iberian-style canapés prepared by the hotel’s excellent culinary team led by F&B manager Javier Testa. They also enjoyed free-flowing exquisite wines like Palacio de la Vega Chardonnay, Musso Chardonnay, Palacio de la Vega Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva and Trio Rojo Gran Reserva courtesy of Jose Luis Gomez of Bodegas Casa Rojo.

It was a glorious day for CWC International Corp. at the “Reach 2 Singapore: The Power of Place” event held at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore recently.

Reach is a curated exhibition celebrating the latest design innovations of Herman Miller. CWC International distributes original pieces of the sleek designer seats.  Prestigious awards such as the Reach Awards 2013 Best Sales Person (Philippines) were given to CWC International Corp. vice president Fred Yuson while the Reach Awards 2013 Dealer of the Year went to CWC Philippines. The Herman Miller Reach Awards counted more than 130 participating dealers across the Asia Pacific. Winners were chosen based on their sales performance and consistent level of excellent service and projects won.

That quote by Francesco Zonin, a seventh-generation winemaker, was carried conspicuously on a standee during the Zonin Wine Dinner held recently at L’Incontro Ristorante Italiano in Makati City.

The dinner was hosted by BestWorld Beverage Brands Inc., led by its president and general manager Edna Diaz, with Casa Vinicola Zonin and its export sales director Guiseppe Di Gioia, export area manager Alessandro Guerini and sales representative Richard Tournier. The Zonin family heads Casa Vinicola Zonin, one of the most important Italian wine-producing companies. It is also one of the foremost wine-producing companies worldwide.

Each mouthwatering dolce, canapé and antipasto by the award-winning restaurant was matched to perfection by an exquisite still or sparkling wine under the Castello d’Albola, Castello del Poggio and Zonin brands.
