Artistry’s unique blend
Nothing seemed to stop not even the threat of a heavy downpour the recent staging of Hennessy Artistry’s kick-off party at The Fort’s newest super club Hyve!
As early as 11 p.m., the club was packed to the brim for “The Global Art of Mixing†party. Hennessy Artistry has collected a legion of loyal followers raring to experience its exciting blend of delicious cognac long drinks with music from diverse genres.
The line-up of local and foreign artists included Australian DJ duo Kolors, who brought the house down with an eclectic blend of electro, old school mash-ups, nu-disco, indie and hip-hop beats. DJ Rubicon was the first to drop his nu-disco and disco electro beats on to the club floors. Originally from Charleston, North Carolina, this producer/DJ is on the fast track to becoming a prominent fixture in Manila’s party scene. Spanish DJ Victor Sala, a.k.a. MushProject, combined organic beats with electro. Bringing a hip-hop flavor was emcee, producer, DJ and radio jock Dash Calzado. Another local favorite who performed was Aia de Leon. Aia, formerly with the popular pop rock group Imago, gave a jazz-inspired performance. And there was pianist Nikki Cabardo, the master behind the keys of SinoSikat?, Freestyle and Wilderness.
Guests enjoyed different flavors of Hennessy — Apple, Ginger, Berry and Citrus — throughout the night and way into the morning!
This is only the first of many more legendary nights courtesy of Hennessy. Watch out for more!
