Florentine flair

It was definitely an unforgettable moment of showcasing excellent craftsmanship when Hoseki, a premier jewelry design studio in the country, unveiled its newest collection, Florentine, at The Grove by Rockwell function room. Taking center stage in the exhibit were stunning jewelry pieces that displayed the skillful artistry the company is known for.

Noted personalities from the diplomatic, business and social circles were graciously welcomed to the event by the creative Hoseki team led by brilliant founder Faico, lovely corporate affairs director Zabeth Co and equally-talented designer Knoi Esmane.

Besides the Florentine pieces, on display as well were the beautifully-crafted jewelry pieces  from the company’s “Candy Crush” South Sea Pearl collection.

‘Back to the floor’

The executive committee of Dusit Thani Manila led by general manager Alex Willats conducted a “Back to the Floor Programme” where each of the committee members were given a different task for a day, leaving their position of power to work side by side with their staff. They were seen serving drinks, making beds, cleaning guest rooms, waiting tables, carrying guests’ luggage and many more. 

The initiative was indeed inspiring as employees got to see the bosses in their shoes. The move also improved current practices and incorporated fun in motivating the team at the workplace. 

It was truly a heartwarming and life-changing experience for both the staff and the executive committee of Dusit Thani Manila. The hotel executives never had any qualms getting down and dirty, so to speak.
