Chateau 1771 turns 25

The 25th anniversary celebration of Chateau 1771 at Ayala Museum was marked with overflowing food and wine. The event also served as the launch of the establishment’s first book, Behind the Doors of Chateau 1771, which chronicles the everyday challenges of running a restaurant and the inspiration behind each of 1771 Group’s brands. The tome is also about the lessons restaurateur Ricky Gutierrez and chef Vicky Pacheco have racked up over 25 years. There are also recipes that give readers a chance to replicate in their own kitchens the timeless “no-borders-cuisine” of chef Vicky.

Exclusively available at all 1771 Group of Restaurants’ outlets — Chateau 1771, Sentro 1771, Café 1771, SideBar and WineBar — the book sums up Ricky’s passion for food and life and Vicky’s commitment to culinary excellence.

At the event, guests rediscovered Chateau 1771’s glorious 25 years through a short film that highlighted its successes and challenges. The restaurant group’s esteemed chefs made sure everyone was satisfied with sumptuous offerings, among them roast Angus ribeye, roast leg of lamb, Vanilla chicken, Rated galunggong bruschetta, Lengua and Mushroom adobo vol-au-vent and Coffee pie, accompanied by a wide variety of wines.

Smartphones within reach

Every time a new smartphone is introduced to the public, the occasion always calls for a celebration.

It was indeed one great celebration when Nokia launched two new smartphones: Lumia 720 and Lumia 520. The event coincided with the Nokia Color Your Story Roadshow, which kicked off at SM Megamall, and the announcement of the Nokia Lumia 720 Consumer Test Drive.

Guests experienced the features of the phones like the exclusive camera lenses and HERE Maps. They were also invited to answer an online quiz via the Nokia Philippines Facebook page to determine their personality that matches the features of the smartphones.

“The release of Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 reinforces our commitment to the Windows Phone platform and the fulfillment of our promise to bring Windows Phone to lower price points and to more audiences,” said Karel Holub, Nokia Philippines general manager.

With the launch of these new phones, Filipinos can experience the innovations in imaging, design and navigation that Nokia has put into these new devices
