Summer’s scent & style

There may be sudden downpours every now and then but summer is still so much officially on!

The scent and style of summer continue to lure those who intend to bask under the sun. Regatta, for example, offers its new fragrance and new fashion collection to sun worshippers. These were launched at the One Esplanade during Sea-Ex, the country’s foremost nautical lifestyle expo.

The event started with a leisurely sunset cruise around Manila Bay to introduce Regatta’s latest summer scent, Leisure. Hosted by Karen Pamintuan, the cruise started with a brief product introduction by brand director Carlo Rufino as bottles of the scent were passed around. Guests enjoyed the musky bouquet of Leisure for men and the light rosy fragrance for women.

A fashion presentation at One Esplanade featuring Regatta’s Summer 2013 collection “Preppy Resort” livened up the crowd. The collection featured tops, dresses, swimwear, shorts and skirts that had a wide variety of prints inspired by colorful surf boards, bicycles and floral paintings.

For men, a youthful, summer look — composed of basic polo shirts and simple flat-front tailored pants and comfortable board shorts — was presented. There were dress shirts, flattering tops and comfortable skirts with adorable repetitive prints in pastel hues for women.
