25 years of pharmaceutical excellence

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -   Doctors, professionals in the medical industry and trade partners gathered recently for the 25th anniversary celebration of Pharex, a leading uni-branded generic medicines company in the country. The event served as a thanksgiving party for the company’s partners in growing the business and making generic medicines more accessible to Filipinos.

The celebration was led by Pharex HealthCorp founder Dr. Abraham Pascual, president and CEO Tomas Marcelo Agana III and chairman Manuel Salazar.

Dr. Pascual expressed his great pride in seeing Pharex fulfill its mission: to benefit more Filipinos through affordable yet high quality medicines. He especially lauded the company’s valuable partners for the success of the business.

Agana thanked the medical community for its continued support. As a way of giving back, he shared that Pharex will launch 25 partnerships of institutions and stakeholders. He also introduced their latest TV commercial thanking the public for their support for the last 25 years.

Carrying the theme “Galing ng ka-Pharex noon, ngayon, at anumang panahon,” the event was a throwback to the ‘80s, when the Generics Act of 1988 was signed into law.

Attendees were treated to a performance of renowned comedian Jon Santos who offered a glimpse of the drug company’s 25 years in the business. He impersonated former Presidents Fidel Ramos, Joseph Estrada and Gloria Arroyo, as well as incumbent President Noynoy Aquino, in acts that commended Pharex’s commitment to health and wellness. In addition, singer Erik Santos sang a retro medley together with the employees.

“It has been a thoroughly successful 25 years for Pharex, and we are confident that the next 25 years will be even bigger and better,” Agana added.
