Where the ‘Lord of Scents’ unwinds

Unique, grandiose, flamboyant, one of a kind — these words prove inadequate to describe the five-and-a-half-story, fully air-conditioned vacation home of Joel Cruz. Joel is known as the “Lord of Scents” for his flourishing fragrance brand Aficionado Germany Perfume.

Situated atop a hill in Canyon Woods, Tagaytay, the mansion is inimitable, reflecting the panache of the owner who is the president and chief executive officer of Central Affirmative Company Inc. and Signatures by Joel Cruz Inc.

Joel’s new private rest house has a lanai, a wide courtyard and a swimming pool. A magnificent Baccarat glass chandelier greets visitors as they step into the main salon. Joel’s new abode is very spacious and literally “roomy” — requiring 11 priests and a countdown for its simultaneous blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremonies. Aside from the master bedroom, a room for Joel’s beloved mom Milagros and five other guest rooms, the house has a spa and parlor, a mini-theater, a fully-equipped gym, and last, but not the least, a helipad to boot! You just have to see it to appreciate it.

At the recent blessing of Joel’s house, he hosted a splendid dinner and cocktails with a blaze of fireworks. There were also  lively entertainment performances by Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano  and Ang Bagong Harana revue of Karla Gutierrez as performed by the troupe composed of the Philippine Opera Company and the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group.
