After the well-attended White Party held at Mandarin Oriental Manila’s MO Lounge and elegant nightspot Martinis, chic and fiery “ravens” in Gothic black partied the night away at the popular bar for the annual Black Party.
The event’s fourth edition was held in partnership with newly married couple Markus Schmidt and Richard Danao of Firma, Ines Cabarrus and Elian Habayeb of Music & Wine and Belvedere Vodka with Moët Hennessy Asia-Pacific-Philippines’ Olga Azarcon.
The premium vodka brand from Poland pumped up the energy of the night as guests sipped on Belvedere’s mix with the music of DJs Robby Lopez, Elian and Agnes Macasaet.
Stefano de Medici, Alicia Mayer and Jerry Ahmed’s group stood out as they won Best Dressed in their Gothic get-up, along with The “Who I Am” Queen who donned a fabulous and elaborate Victorian-Gothic attire.
Martinis’ manager and the hotel’s assistant F&B manager Javier Berenguer-Testa was all smiles during the shoulder-to-shoulder packed legendary event that drew an exciting patronage of expats and Manila’s party owls.
A decade of partnership
Global multi-specialty health care company Allergan Healthcare held an event in honor of the Belo Medical Group.
The event held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel doubled as a celebration for the 10th global anniversary of Botox (Botulinum Toxin Type A). Botox is not a generic procedure or product. It is actually Allergan’s registered trademark and an approved Botulinum Toxin in the market used for both therapeutic and cosmetic purposes. Allergan also presented a platinum award to Belo Medical Group for its extensive experience with Botox treatment for 10 consecutive years.
The event included entertaining numbers from the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and Ballet Philippines. To cap the night off, Zia Quizon wowed the audience with her beautiful voice.
Belo Medical Group founder Dr. Vicki Belo summed up the evening saying, “We have always been committed to making a difference in the lives of Filipinos by bringing out the beauty in each and everyone of them.”
She added, “Allergan Healthcare Philippines has made it possible for us to carry out this commitment. So on behalf of the entire Belo Medical Group, I would like to thank Allergan Healthcare Philippines for the 10 wonderful years of partnership and beyond.”
A brighter Christmas for a brighter tomorrow
Kipling and World Vision try to make lives better this Christmas as they launched “A Brighter Christmas For a Brighter Tomorrow,” a program that aims to provide additional funds for the education of children under the care of the Christian development and advocacy organization.
The new endeavor of the Belgian bag brand is a timely effort to spread the fun and happiness instilled in each of its bag, presenting the less fortunate children with a gift of hope. Kipling handed a commemorative bag to World Vision to celebrate their partnership and to symbolize the brand’s pledge and holiday advocacy.
Some of the country’s young stars also showed their support to the program, including Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Kylie Padilla and Jessica Connelly, as well as World Vision celebrity ambassador Miriam Quiambao who also hosted the program.
Loyal Kipling shoppers can also share the blessings of the season. Brand manager Millet Antonio said, “Our customers can also enjoy our new cutting-edge designs and fashion-forward pieces as well as help build a brighter tomorrow for the less privileged children because for every Kipling bag purchased from Dec. 1 to 31, Kipling will donate P500 to World Vision.”
The future of the children of World Vision gets more than a spark of hope with this wonderful gesture from Kipling.
