BFF of today’s travelers

Four years after opening its first store in the country, Tumi, an internationally renowned brand for premium bags and accessories for travel and business, opened its second branch at the Bonifacio High Street. The brand has acquired worldwide recognition due to its innovative designs, patented bag engineering, superior materials, unparalleled quality and world-class customer service. Because of these traits, Tumi has become the “best friend” of today’s discriminating travelers.

Guests enjoyed cocktails and musical entertainment provided by Con Brio Ensemble Quartet. The launch was hosted by David Celdran.

The opening of the new store coincided with the launching of its Fall 2012 collection. The highlight of the evening was a fashion show where the Dror collection was showcased to the public.

The six-piece Dror collection is created to respond to the many demands of today’s travelers. A combination of hard cases and soft travel and business bags are included in this collection. The collection has the International Expandable Carry-On, which is Tumi’s first foray into making an expandable zipper-less hard case.

The night’s festivities continued long after the fashion show, with Manny O. Wines filling the glasses of the guests as a string quartet serenaded them.

The Primer Group of Companies is the exclusive distributor of Tumi in the Philippines.

Priceless travels

The first bank in Southeast Asia and the first airline in Asia have formed a synergy to give their clients excellent travel opportunities.

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and Philippine Airlines (PAL) collaborated to deliver priceless travel experiences to BPI MasterCard Cardholders.

With the collaboration, cardholders can now convert their BPI Real Thrills rewards points to Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Miles for as low as 5,000 points. Principal cardholders can even extend their rewards experience by redeeming Mabuhay Miles even for their supplementary cardholders. For added convenience, BPI and PAL have made it easier for everyone to purchase PAL tickets via the BPI My ePrepaid MasterCard.

PAL commercial group officer-in-charge Rafael Rollan said, “As PAL extends its routes and increases its fleet size, we are delighted to have BPI as our partner in making sure that customers always enjoy great value. With BPI being the first bank in Southeast Asia, and PAL being the first airline in Asia, we combine our years of expertise in ensuring that we deliver outstanding products and services that enhance customer experiences.”

BPI senior vice president and card banking group head Ginbee Go added, “This much-awaited alliance between two of the country’s biggest institutions goes beyond the country’s history. With PAL, it underscores BPI’s thrust to continue to innovate and enable more Filipinos to travel to more places and be connected to the rest of the world.  Together, we make it easier for Filipinos to realize their dream to travel.”

A celebration of wellness

The entire Cohen’s Lifestyle Centre community of graduates, non-graduates, medical professionals, and health and wellness advocates got together during the Re: New Me 2012 – Fit for the Red Carpet event. The affair featured over 40 Cohen program graduates walking down the runway with their new fit and lean bodies. There was also a photo exhibit showcasing their new slender physique. True to the night’s theme, guests enjoyed red-carpet treatment with photographers taking their pictures and red carpet anchor Chal Lontoc welcoming them at the fashion walk.

The Cohen Program was formulated by Dr. Rami Cohen, a specialist renowned for his research on hormones involved in obesity and weight loss.
