Nutcracker with a Twist
MANILA, Philippines - A holiday classic ballet is returning to the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) tomorrow.
The Philippine Ballet Theatre has announced its upcoming performances on Nov. 10-11 at the Main Theater of the CCP. For the second year in a row, its dancers will perform the ballet classic The Nutcracker with a Twist.
Follow Clara into a dream world of dancing snowflakes, flowers and sweets while enjoying Tchaikovsky’s cherished score.
Over 60 dancers will perform, with the special participation of the “rare kids” afflicted with rare disorders, to the classic Tchaikovsky score. It will be played live by the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of maestro Gerard Salonga.
The play opens Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. with the last performance on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. The performance is directed by Ronilo Jaynario, PBT’s artistic director.
