To Touch is to believe

THE PEPPER MILL - Pepper Teehankee - The Philippine Star

Here’s another budget-friendly smartphone – The Nokia Asha Touch. It had its launch at Mr. Rockefeller restaurant in Greenbelt 3, Makati City recently.

Many were looking forward to finally “touch” this smartphone. Before the program began, guests enjoyed munching on food. Others indulged themselves in hand massages and a palm reading session, in keeping with the event’s Touch theme.

The program, hosted by fashion blogger Patricia Prieto, started with top Nokia officials sharing what they like most about the three exciting types of Nokia Asha Touch smartphone.

Nokia Philippines GM Dharmesh Goshalia says, “The new Nokia Asha range consists of really, really cool smartphones. Filipino consumers want free games and free apps. More importantly, users are also after gadgets that will provide them with faster and cheaper Internet access. We give them Nokia Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311. These devices will surely meet their needs especially since they are also very budget-friendly.”

Prieto also shared her personal experiences with her Asha Touch. She said that what she loves about it is it’s very handy for blogging and that it is within the means of young people like her.

Nokia Asha Touch smartphones are indeed very affordable considering they are packed with fun and up-to-date features including 40 free EA games and Nokia Maps. They also provide faster and cheaper access to the Internet with the Nokia Browser.

Asha 305 also has the Easy Swap Dual SIM technology, allowing users to manage several SIM cards without having to turn off their units. Its sister device Asha 306 features WLAN and is Nokia’s most affordable WiFi handset. Top of the line Asha 311 is a 3G device powered by a 1GHz processor, perfect for better gaming and a faster Internet experience.

Three lucky guests went home with Nokia Asha phones.
