Getting high with Legaci

THE PEPPER MILL - Pepper Teehankee -

The after-party scenes in Manila are always at a fever pitch.

A month after the successful concert of Justin Bieber in Manila, people are still talking about Legaci, DJ Tay James and Poreotics who brought the house down during the official after-party of Bieber’s My World Tour in Manila.

Legaci, whose rise to fame is courtesy of YouTube, mesmerized the crowd with a medley of hits like Firework by Katy Perry and End of the Road by Boyz II Men at The Lounge. Legaci is an a cappella group composed of four men — Chris Abad, Del Lazaro, Dominic Manuel and Micah Tolentino — who have Filipino roots.

The Club, on the other hand, witnessed a party as San Francisco’s DJ Rayzaruckus and DJ Tay James served a line-up of dance hits that kept everybody dancing. They were joined by Kenny Hamilton who also emceed the night and America’s Best Dance Crew champions and My World Tour front act, Poreotics.

Others spotted in the venue were Joko Diaz, Dionne Monsanto, Ara Mina and Tirso Cruz III.

Seventh High is The Fort’s new nightspot that has been making a resounding entry into the nightlife and is slowly becoming a favorite spot for both local and foreign celebrities.

One hot party

Desiccating was the vibe of the night when Levi’s Roadwear Party kicked off with a bang at the Palladium Club at New World Hotel. The event brought in two of the hottest DJs — DJ DNile and DJ Catherine McQueen.

The party went wild with the dance beats of DJ DNile. Bringing in hotter energy to the party was the gorgeous DJ Catherine M, who made the crowd groove to her pop and R&B mash-ups.

Loads of confetti showered the dance floor, neon lights playfully caught everyone’s attention and the euphoric crowd made the Levi’s Roadwear Party a night to remember!

The party moved on to Cebu with the same DJs and Cebuanos filling up the Penthouse in Cebu’s IT Park. Chosen partygoers wearing Levi’s jeans were invited to dance at the DJ’s stage and were given photo opportunities with them. Present at the event were Levi Strauss Philippines, Inc. marketing manager Jen Jimenez and commercial operations coordinator Minette Cuison.
