One romantic evening at Boracay Regency
With its glorious sunsets, white powdery sand and pristine, blue waters, the breathtaking Boracay island is a favorite destination among families, friends and couples who are seeking a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. To make the experience truly memorable, Boracay Regency Beach Resort and Spa, the first triple-A resort in the beautiful paradise under the helm of brilliant chairman Henry Chusuey, recently hosted an intimate, romantic dinner for its specially-invited guests. Amidst a captivating set-up by the resort’s beautiful, wide beachfront, everyone was treated to a sumptuous spread of fresh, delectable dishes prepared by the resort’s talented chefs and impeccably served by the highly-efficient staff. Guests partied till late as they enjoyed the best of the island.
Cheers to another fantastic evening at Boracay Regency!
Living it up at 88!
The jovial celebrator Cely Basa with her colorful polka-dot-inspired cake. Always full of life and spirit, the jovial Cely Henson Basa recently had another reason to celebrate — her 88th birthday, which she marked with a fun polka-dot-themed party at the eighth floor of The St. Francis Shangri-La Place in Ortigas. Her loving family as well as energetic friends from the OSCARS (Organization of Senior Citizens & Residents) and the Ladies of Charity also came to take part in the joyful occasion filled with great food, superb entertainment and good times. It was truly a memorable day for Cely who is always grateful for each year that is added to her life.
Happy birthday and may you continue to embrace life to the fullest!
An enthralling night of music
It was one soiree concert like no other as the Filfest Cultural Foundation, led by vivacious and hardworking president Vicky Zubiri, in partnership with the Israeli Embassy, recently hosted a private launching of the fourth season of Filfest and Insular Life’s “All-Chestra.” Held at Vicky’s fabulous residence, the fascinating affair had well-heeled guests enjoying the enthralling music of world-renowned and award-winning pianist Dr. Michael Tsalka who impressed everyone with his repertoire from baroque contemporary. Remarkable Filipino artist and tenor Carlos Alberto Ibay, who is blind from birth, also outstandingly performed a Liszt and sung an aria from Massinet’s Opera Werther.
Congratulations Vicky for another successful event!
