A celebration of life, love and friendship

Nostalgia takes over me as I recall my recent birthday party at the Dusit Thani Manila, the hotel of choice of diplomats, businessmen and society’s sophisticated personalities, as around 400 of my dearest friends and family gathered at the Grand Ballroom of this hotel superbly managed by dapper GM Prateek Kumar. While I count my many blessings, I have much gratitude for being in the entertainment sector, distributing Hollywood movies locally. Thank you to Oli Laperal, who also led the video coverage of my birthday in a 3D Hollywood movie fashion. On television, I am thankful for being with my co-hosts: Maurice Arcache, Baby O’Brien, June Keithley, plus meeting international celebrities in Cannes and during the Manila International Film Festival. It really is a blessing to have Jayelles president Roselle Rebano as one of my trusted colleagues who has been with me during the international film festival and helped in the successful organization and production of this memorable occasion. Same goes to my dynamic Jayelles COO Bong Palma Gil whose brilliance helped make this celebration a truly remarkable one. My deepest gratitude also goes out to the sponsors and Rustan’s gracious boss Nedy Tantoco for the precious giveaways, which everyone enjoyed after the party. I am and will always be happy to keep many unforgettable experiences and friendships.

An elegant welcome dinner

Epitomizing the perfect hostess, the elegant Nedy Tantoco recently treated loving friends to a welcome dinner in honor of beautiful couple Paul Benoit and wife Babette Aquino. Held at Nedy’s opulent residence in Forbes Park, sophisticated guests truly enjoyed the superb menu prepared by brilliant chef Stephanie Zubiri amidst the backdrop of magnificent art works from the capitals of Europe. The soothing ambiance was perfectly complemented with the captivating music of world-class saxophonist Dr. Michael Young. It was indeed another splendid evening of great food, topnotch entertainment and excellent company, meticulously planned and organized by Nedy.
