Bulgari celebrated the 10th year anniversary of its most successful collection, B.zero1, and launched the new Anish Kapoor ring at the Establishment in The Fort. B.zero1 made its worldwide debut at the start of the new millennium and immediately enjoyed success with its spiral design. Its name is simply the “B” of Bulgari combined with “01,” the starting point, timeless, universal sign of “beginning.” Anish Kapoor was chosen by Bulgari to reinterpret the iconic B.zero1 ring in celebration of the collection’s decade of success. The Establishment was transformed into a lounge-cum-exhibit to showcase the evolution of B.zero1.
Guests walked into the amber-lit hall and were presented with the rest of the collection, which included the B.zero1 mini, B.zero1 colored stones, B.zero1 with diamonds and, of course, the new B.zero1 2010 collection. They were serenaded by saxophonist Dr. Michael Young as they sipped on champagne by Piper Heidsieck and cocktails by Bombay Sapphire, Remy Martin and Grey Goose, and enjoyed the delicious menu of various crostinis, beef scalopine, risotto truffle mushroom and pistachio jateu de lupe by The Establishment’s executive chef Godfrey Laforteza.
Others present were Zelda and Stephanie Kienle, Helen Ong, Ambassador Joey Antonio, Maurice Arcache, Pops Fernandez and HSBC Premier’s Chris Rourke.
The B.zero1 collection is available in Bulgari boutiques located in Greenbelt 4 (728-5061 to 62) and 6750 Ayala Shopping Arcade (893-3189).
Number O.N.E.
O.N.E. Naturales, a new line of beauty essentials, was launched also at the Establishment. It seems this place is the new favorite for launching a product! Charade Galang, a young pharmacist, is the brains behind these skin worthy products. Charade explained that O is for organic, N for Natural and E for eco-friendly. She added, “Using pure organic materials is difficult because of its short shelf life so I did my research and came up with preservatives that are natural such as beeswax, virgin coconut oil, lemon peels and extracts from fruit rinds. I also use essential oils like cherry extract, linseed oil geranium oil, lavender, lemon and grapefruit extract. Essential oils have both beneficial (anti-microbial, anti-aging, skin renewal and rejuvenation) and aromatic properties (relieve stress, provide skin nourishment and act as muscle relaxant).”
The products were a big hit among the guests who tried them during the launch and were provided with samples to bring home. The short program, which was hosted by Mayenne Carmona, Sara Meier, Don Puno and Angelika Cruz, was highlighted by a champagne toast and a rain of confetti on the guests wishing Charade lots of luck on the success of her new business venture.
(O.N.E. Naturales products are sold exclusively at selected Watsons stores.)
Piolo’s healthy choice
Century Canning Corp. introduces the newest addition to its family of products Century Bangus.
It’s fresh, it’s healthy and it’s definitely sure to whet your appetite! With this breakthrough alternative for those living the fit and healthy lifestyle yet looking for something convenient and unconventional, freshness is a foremost guarantee as the bangus from which it is made from are grown and farmed the Century way — in seawater cages housed in the pure waters of Southern Mindanao with no muddy taste. As the fish are harvested from their sea cages, they are brought immediately to the company’s world-class processing facilities where the fish is processed and packed on the same day. Its processing facilities have been accredited by the EU and US FDA, therefore its products easily qualify to the rest of the world’s strict product standards.
Assistant vice president-business development for emerging businesses Emerito Alejo says, “Sarap na farm-fresh, world-class — that’s our battlecry! We are serving something new to the Filipino dining table. More than that, we also are trying to create a market for cultured seafood that is a renewable and sustainable source of healthy protein. We’re doing this since we want to reduce the load on wild-caught fish stocks and preserve our ocean’s natural resources. We are certain that our newest product could not only very well satisfy the Pinoys’ taste buds but also even the most discerning palates across the globe.”
Century Bangus officially presented its ambassador, actor Piolo Pascual, at Enderun Colleges in Taguig. As it presents its latest treat for healthy eaters across the country and beyond, the food canning company partners with a world-class talent and a man who upholds the same values it does. Known mostly as an actor, Piolo constantly makes an effort to always reinvent himself so that in every role he portrays, there’s always something fresh to expect. A truly dedicated artist, he gracefully made an entrance into the music scene to be worthy of the title “balladeer.” Piolo also advocates for various causes such as the education of the underprivileged children, youth empowerment and most significantly, the preservation of the environment and wildlife.
