Century Tuna recently introduced actress Angel Locsin as its newest health ambassador in Annabel’s Restaurant in Quezon City. 

Angel, who was joined by Century Corned Tuna endorser Derek Ramsay and the Century Tuna Superbods 2010 winners, gave guests an idea of what the leading canned tuna brand has been cooking up for its new campaign.

Century Tuna senior product manager Angela Gamboa says: “This is really an exciting time for Century Tuna as it positions itself as a health and wellness brand. Our thrust, really, is to help instill in our customers the value of living healthy — of eating right and engaging themselves in fitness activities. We want to clearly communicate this message through our new health ambassadors Angel Locsin and the 2010 Superbods who truly mirror the Century Tuna lifestyle — that of having a Healthy Body and Healthy Mind.”

Angel shares: “I’ve always been committed to imparting positive values among Filipinos and my endorsement for Century Tuna is definitely a great opportunity to inspire people to be fit and active. The best part is that I’m endorsing something that I really believe in because I’ve always been a big Century Tuna fan. Apart from my passion for sports, Century Tuna is my secret for staying slim and sexy.”

With the launch of Angel, Derek is ecstatic to be joined by a fellow advocate of health and sports. He says, “I’ve really wanted to work with Angel for a very long time and I’m glad that it has finally come true although this is not for a movie or a TV project. If you think about it, it’s actually for a higher purpose as we will both be reaching out to everyone, not only our fans, to inspire them to adapt a lifestyle of health and fitness.”

Century Tuna also introduced its latest roster of Superbods: 18-year-old Nursing student Lea Yosalina, 21-year-old Psychology student Jillian Lua, 21-year-old TV host/model Renzie Ongkiko and 23-year-old civil engineer Van Vincent Leaño.

The four were chosen during the Century Tuna Superbods Run 2010 and each got P100,000 and were featured in Century Tuna ads.
