Many 'firsts' from Canon

Canon Marketing Philippines has been strongly holding the position as the number one digital camera brand in the Philippines. I’ve been using one for ages!

In the latest Canon launch held at the Blue Leaf Pavilion in Fort Bonifacio, so many “firsts” were unveiled.

It was the first time that new line of digital cameras from Ixus, Powershot and the EOS models were introduced to the media. It was the first intimate launch event attended in by 30 top editors and lifestyle columnists in the country. Each one had a special photo of themselves mounted on an easel for them to take home. It was the first preview of the new Canon Philippines corporate office located across the event venue, which is at the Commerce and Industry Building at McKinley Hills, Fort Bonifacio. It was the first public appearance of Canon Philippines’ new CEO Alan Chng, whose last name has really no vowels!

Needless to say, generous raffle prizes like Canon Ixus, Powershot and Pixma printers were raffled off to lucky guests.

Pure and ideal comfort

Samsung Electronics Phils Corp. announced the arrival of its new range of air conditioners. Unveiled at the Whitespace, business partners and special guests were welcomed by Samsung Electronics Phils Corp. consumer electronics sales director Antonio Mauricio, marketing director Glenn Glinoga, business advisor DJ Kim, head for digital air-solutions business team King Pandi, product manager Brian Beltejar and marketing communications managers Paulo Del Rosario and Yasmin Marquez.

Pandi shared with the guests the vision of Samsung Digital Air Solutions followed by the introduction of the 2010 Samsung Digital Air Solutions product line up highlighting the Samsung New Crystal S-Inverter air conditioner.

The Crystal series is equipped with Samsung’s proprietary micro plasma ion (MPI) that enables A/Cs to inactivate dust mites, mold, fungi, allergens and such fast-spreading, life-threatening airborne infections as the H1N1 virus and SARS. It also has the Seal of Approval for removal of airborne allergens from the British Allergy Foundation.

Samsung’s new Crystal series is accompanied by an ergonomic and innovative remote control with soft touch button and easy-view display in a convenient and lightweight design that fits snugly in the palm of your hand.

Daphne Paez hosted the dinner launch which featured bossa nova singer Sitti serenading the guests. Samsung guests were treated to a raffle of Samsung Virus Doctor.

Totally beautiful at 10

Dove kicked off its 10th anniversary celebration with a retrospective event held at the Tagaytay Highlands, which looked back at a decade of happy, confident and truly beautiful women.

The event hosted by Dove ambassador Christine Jacob-Sandejas took guests on a journey through the last 10 years of real beauty with Dove. The women were treated to two days of pampering and relaxation. They were also the very first to experience the Dove Deo Pitticure, which is a customized massage treatment to make the underarms look and feel totally beautiful.

In tandem with its 10th anniversary, the Dove team took the opportunity to launch the “Dove at Ten: Totally Beautiful” platform highlighting the addition of the Dove Deodorant line, which has the signature moisturizing cream ingredient that makes Dove the choice of women for total beauty.
