A 'super' club in Vigan

The city of Vigan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its cobble-stoned roads and buildings have been beautifully preserved and the picturesque town hasn’t changed much since I was last there some 20 years ago.

Of course chains like Red Ribbon, Max’s, McDonalds and Chowking are now present but they have been built to the specifications of the city.

To liven up the nightlife where tourists go to sightsee, eat and shop, Legacy Superclub has opened. The facade of the club still conforms to the old-world look, except the inside is very modern. Legacy gives both locals and tourists a place to go to at night, something very new and different for this wonderful city.

Legacy was packed during opening night when Manila DJs Euric Lumanog, Manolet Dario and GP Reyes were flown there to showcase their music. Ryan Singson proudly welcomed us to his pumping new place, which was the talk of Ilocos. Supporting Ryan that night were his father Chavit, brother Ronald, a lot of his relatives and friends as well.

Sightseeing and eating was a must for me, especially with the Vigan okoy and empanada, which I missed so much. We were all having such a great time that we hardly noticed it was almost 4 a.m. when we left the club, worrying about having to wake up in the morning for more sightseeing and shopping.

With my suitcase packed with chichacorn, bagnet, sukang Iloko, Vigan longganiza, Ilokano bagoong; and my camera filled with beautiful photos, I cannot wait to go back to this beautiful town packed with friendly people and a now modern club I can go to at the end of the day!
