Canon Marketing Philippines Inc. hosted Canon Rock Star Media Christmas Party to show its appreciation for media who have been nothing but supportive. More than a hundred attendees joined Canon CEO Ramon Arteficio for a dinner at Merk’s Bar Bistro in Greenbelt 3.
Canon products such as the highly competitive EOS digital SLR cameras, compact digital cameras of the IXUS and Powershot line and PIXMA printers continue to enjoy robust sales during the quarter, contributing to growth in sales volume by 11 percent. I myself use a Canon Digital Ixus when I take my own photos for this column!
Upon entering the event’s location, guests get to pick a rock star welcome gift ranging from scents by Salvatore Ferragamo and Benetton, printers from Canon, jewelry from Calvin Klein or bags from Samsonite. Jun Miranda and Mikaela Lagdameo-Martinez won Male and Female Rock Stars of the Night.
Guests indulged in games such as The Beer Drinking Contest, a Rock Star Relay Contest and Rock Band. Everyone who attended won raffle prizes ranging from the cutting edge Canon Digital IXUS Cameras, Powershot line, EOS Digital SLRs, DVD Camcorders and Pixma printers.
It was a most fun and generous Christmas party from Canon!
No artificial coloring
It was a weekend of fun, creativity and color when Smarties and Kids Watch Central staged the Family Fun Summit, an event that aims to help parents unlock their children’s potential for success via time management.
Held at the Ark Avilon Zoo in Tiendesitas, Ortigas, the affair was highlighted by the Smarties Coloring Contest. The educational coloring activity enabled children to explore their creativity and imagination using the fun colors of Smarties candies using sheets with animal designs given to them along with crayons, beads and other colorful art materials.
The event also served to introduce to parents Smarties with No Artificial Colours. Nestlé confectionery business manager Manolo de Leon says, “Smarties with No Artificial Colours is Nestlé’s response to consumer preference for fewer synthetic ingredients.”
The event was fun and educational and creative for both parents and children.
A taste of heaven
Guests who flocked to the Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 event at the SMX Convention Centre also experienced the heavenly taste of Heaven by Nestlé Ice Cream.
Heaven by Nestlé Ice Cream was one of the sponsors of the year’s biggest fashion event, the Philippine Fashion Week, which gathered over 100 designers in simultaneous shows at the SMX Convention Centre and at the SM Mall of Asia.
Heaven by Nestlé Ice Cream presented the newest collections of designers Arnold Galang, Dita Sandico-Ong, Enrico Carado, Happy Andrada, Tina Daniac, Raoul Ramirez for ESAC and Lyle Ibañez for ESAC Plus in a one-night presentation dubbed Heaven by Nestlé Ice Cream presents Premier C. It showcased a fresh twist on Spring/Summer fashion featuring creations inspired by the premier ice cream brand’s flavors: Belgian Bliss, Strawberry Dream and Vanilla Secret.
Heaven by Nestlé Ice Cream also gave guests a taste of the ice cream that lasted the entire run of Fashion Week. People at the entire length of SMX Centre were offered a free taste of this extraordinarily rich ice cream, which is made with 60 percent milk, that’s five times more milk than ordinary ice cream.
Strawberry Dream is a rich strawberry and cream ice cream with real strawberry pieces. Vanilla Secret is velvety vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce and chopped almonds. Belgian Bliss has a rich chocolate flavor and has chopped Belgian chocolate bits.
Guests finally had a taste of heaven!
