A romantic Spanish evening

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -

Seductive flamenco dancers swayed to the exotic beat as the five-star Marco Polo Plaza Cebu (MPPC), led by indefatigable GM Hans Hauri, recently celebrated the rich Spanish culture and tradition through its grand Sabores de España food festival. Cebu’s high society and special guests Spanish Ambassador Luis Arias and Spanish consul Jaime Picornell were treated to a festive celebration teeming with delectable Spanish cuisines such as the savory paella, lengua estofada and rellenos authentically prepared by guest chef Gema Luisa Pido, Cebu’s foremeost authority on Spanish gourmet dishes. The feast was perfectly complemented with an enlivening serving of vintage Spanish wines that had guests partying till the wee hours. Cheers!

A new hub for trendy ladies

A glitzy, star-studded affair was recently held in SM San Fernando to launch Mag’s Boutique — an all-ladies hub that offers trendy and stylish women’s apparel, bags, footwear and accessories. The celebration was led by its owner Mags Calpito-Cue, Mag’s image model Rica Peralejo, businesswoman Sandy Tang, better half of tycoon Ramon Tang, lovely actress Krista Ranillo and sultry Maureen Larrazabal.

Among those seen were Mags corporate consultant Iloilo-based Nonoy Ybiernas, banker Joy Fong, dermatologist Dr. Jonathan Dizon, businessman Eric Ting and model Daniel Yusay.
