Happy birthday, Ruffa!

Before beauty queen, movie actress, television star and host Ruffa Gutierrez flew to Los Angeles to spend her real birthday, she decided to have first a series of parties (one in a private residence, the other in Cuisine followed by another celebration at the Embassy) to welcome another colorful year in her life. The first party held at the house of everyone’s dear buddy Noel Oñate was definitely the hottest party to go to that week!

Ruffa invited her friends from the showbiz world to mix with her non-showbiz friends and her family. It was a very well attended dinner party that ended until the wee hours. La Tasca catered the dinner, which included roast duck, lamb, paella, lasagna and an array of cheeses, canapés and desserts.

Majority of the guests heeded Ruffa’s request to come in white. Despite that, the party remained colorful. The birthday girl was clad in a black and white Chanel dress.

Mike Toledo and Manolet Dario provided several other drinks. (In fact, drinks were overflowing that night.)

All of Ruffa’s siblings came in full force as singing and chatting continued from inside the house to the sprawling garden. Ruffa had three birthday cakes. The party had an incredibly eclectic crowd.

It was truly a fun party. For Ruffa, who I have known since she was 13 years old, I wish you all the best and may you have many, many more birthdays to come!
