The grand debut

It was another milestone as Wilcon Builders’ Depot, the “build anything, we have everything” home improvement center, recently inaugurated its latest depot in Fairview, Quezon City — its 18th branch in the country. Visionary Wilcon president and CEO William Belo together with hardworking EVP and COO Rose Bosch Ong and tireless CFO Lorraine Belo graciously welcomed business partners, special guests and friends to the fabulous celebration. The event started with a solemn blessing ceremony followed by a spectacular dragon dance performance and an exhilarating fireworks display. The event was made more memorable with the presence of prominent personalities such as Quezon City Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista, Kohler Kitchen & Bath Group-Asia Pacific president Derrick Tay, Matimco president Charlie Liu and DZMM station manager Angelo Palmones. Over delectable cocktails, Wilcon also unveiled its beautiful showrooms with the help of delightful sponsors Nonie Basilio, Hoseki’s Zabeth Co, Salome Uy, QualiBet CEO Pinky Tobiano and Marietha Holmgren. Obviously bigger and better, the newly-opened depot boasts of authentic Asian, American, Spanish and Italian tiles and home building needs as well as the most extensive and complete array of hardware supplies. The introduction of dashing movie actor and popular TV host Edu Manzano as the new Wilcon endorser and the raffling of a posh C200K avant-garde Mercedes Benz to one lucky winner of its Wheels and Bills promo were the highlights of the event.

Romancing the classics

The Johann Strauss Society of the Philippines (JSSP) spearheaded by president and Consul Fortune Ledesma in cooperation with multi-Kalakbay awardee Mandarin Oriental Manila led by GM and JSSP vice president and event chairperson Helmut Gaisberger, is presenting the traditional Vienna New Year Concert tomorrow, Feb. 27, at the Ballroom of Mandarin Oriental Manila. Cocktails will be served and the concert will commence at exactly 8 p.m.

Johnny says, ‘Check this out’

The 2nd Men of St. Joseph (MSJ) will hold the Santuario de San Jose Parish Fund Raising Golf Tournament on March 13 at the Valley Golf & Country Club. Tee-off time is at 8 a.m. Funds that will be raised from the tournament will be used to finance the schooling of streetchildren housed at Silong Tanglaw and the expenditures for the daily upkeep of the center. It will also benefit the underprivileged community in West Crame and other various outreach programs of the parish.
