Scents for life

The Pink for Life Foundation has been providing subsidized chemotherapy treatments for women with stage 1 and 2 breast cancer. The foundation has helped over 200 women in Luzon cope with the demanding financial burden of the disease by paying for as much as 70 percent of the chemotherapy costs. It is the foundation’s goal to continue offering assistance where it is most needed. This year, it hopes to extend such benefits to women in the Visayas and Mindanao.

Lifestyle store Bench has always been aware and involved in various civic endeavors to help the less fortunate. Bench generously takes up the challenge to be able to aid in the fight of women against breast cancer.

The Pink for Life Foundation and Bench have teamed up to produce “Scents for Life,” unique fragrances produced in Grasse in France that will make a difference in the lives of women afflicted with breast cancer. Part of the sales of both eau de toilettes called “Faith” and “Inspire” will go directly to the foundation to benefit women who need medical support.

Faith is a delightful blend of bergamot and red berries with the fused floral scent of white rose and Lily of the Valley. Inspire is a mix of grapefruit and iris. These were launched at a cocktail event in the activity center of the new Glorietta 5 with the support of Cibo, Fiori di M, Ayala Malls, Forse Ink and Rupert Signs. Trustees of Pink for Life Irene Martel Francisco, Sigalit Djemal, Diana Cua-Balcells, Vicki Belo, Mons Tantoco, Mario Katigbak and Joy Wassmer are grateful to Ben Chan and his team for the fulfilling collaboration.
