Bigby-ginnings!

Food and travel are two of the things I love most in this world and these two go hand in hand in a new restaurant in the city. Wonders and delights of the world are packed in its menu and throughout the interiors of the restaurant.

Bigby’s Café and Restaurant, owned by Henrik Yu and his wife Joanna and longtime friend Catherine Genabe, has transformed dining experiences in great ways all over Cagayan de Oro City where it first opened. It also has eight branches in Visayas and Mindanao.

The restaurant is best known for affordable big choices of dishes inspired by different places around the world that the owners have visited. Diners can lounge around the restaurant and learn great treasures and discoveries here and abroad with the mementos set as decor and wall maps inside Bigby’s.

Local twists to foreign dishes are made to keep the taste that Filipinos love.

Bigby’s opened its ninth branch in Metro Manila and its very first in Luzon at the SM Megamall Atrium. A blessing ceremony was led by Fr. Leonilo Mangussad to mark the beginning of this new casual dining restaurant.

Check out the restaurant’s big servings of its best-selling baby back ribs, flame grilled pork belly and chicken fried steak!

Cheer amidst the gloom

The annual Children’s Hour benefit luncheon held at the Ayala Museum was highlighted by a forum dubbed “Cheer Amidst the Gloom” with Alaska Milk Corp.’s president and CEO Wilfred Steven Uytengsu as one of the guest speakers. Uytengsu donated a substantial amount to Children’s Hour to fund its various projects.
