An evening to remember

A happy and intimate birthday party in honor of a special lady, Ann Puno, the wife of brilliant lawyer Rene Puno, was recently held at the Azuthai restaurant in Makati. Everyone was in fine spirits as family, close friends and notable guests such as Finance Secretary Gary Teves, Secretary Mike Defensor, Caloocan Mayor Recom Echiverri and Geograce president Jerry Angping came to show their love as they joined well-wishers in wishing the good madam more happiness and fruitful years. It was truly a memorable evening of merriment filled with great food, fun and laughter! Happy birthday, Ann!

A roaring welcome for 2009

Electrifying vibes and lively rhythms filled the atmosphere as The Bellevue Hotel, the hottest haunt south of the metro, welcomed the New Year with an ultimate year ender party at its luxurious 20/20 Bar. Brilliant chairman Johnny Chan with dapper brothers GM Patrick Chan and marketing and communications director Ryan Chan treated hotel guests and families to a grand feast with succulent dishes lechon de leche, lengua estofado and roast US Beef Ribeye at the Café d’Asie. Before the clock struck 12 midnight, excited guests happily danced the night way and joined in the grand Bellevue countdown as all watched the spectacular fireworks display from the chic 20/20 Bar. Tango revolution

The members of the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) were recently treated by the FCCP special events director Minerva Tanseco, through the efforts of FCCP director Martin Lopez, to enjoy the show Tango Revolution at Far Eastern University. The show was topbilled by the Clarion Chamber Ensemble and Argentine Tango experts Edna Ledesma and Cecile Go.   It was a truly inspiring day for dance and the arts.
