An evening of music, style and friendship

A party was recently held at the elegant penthouse of Muebles Italiano’s flagship showroom in Magallanes, the country’s haven of fine furniture and intricate sculpture from Italy and other parts of Europe. Hosted by Muebles Italiano president and CEO Noel Gonzales and gorgeous wife Eileen, the occasion was in honor of Isabela Gov. Grace Padaca, this year’s Ramon Magsaysay awardee for Public Service. The dinner and musical soiree involved the splendid vocal performances by George Yang, internationally acclaimed Jonathan Badon, Narda and Boy Camacho and Manila Hotel GM Joey Lina. Other friends who attended were Consuls Fortune Ledesma and Evie Costa, Asia’s Fashion Czar Pitoy Moreno and businessman Gerry Contreras.

Christmas at the Plaza

Entering the opulent lobby of Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, the Queen City of the south’s premier luxury hotel, I was captivated by its elaborately-decorated Christmas tree, brightly-lit advent candles and dazzling decorations. Dapper GM Hans Hauri welcomed me to experience Holiday Wonderland at the hotel’s festive season celebration replete with a scrumptious Christmas Eve dinner, an entertaining concert by Mitch Valdez and a spectacular New Year fireworks display. Showgirls and more at A.Venue

Talk about pure entertainment. Fabulous Las Vegas literally came to the country as exquisitely costumed Follie de Mwah performers of Club Mwah took center stage at the most exciting and newest happening place in town — A. Venue. Led by Antel Group of Companies (AGC) president Elena Jao and marketing director and developer Felino Lao, the amazing set designs and spectacular production numbers filled the A. Venue Entertainment Hall. A bevy of damsels walked down the ramp in a sensational Broadway cum Las Vegas musical comedy revue to the delight of the audience. According to A. Venue project director Nancy Coo, it was one of A. Venue’s way of showing appreciation for the numerous positive responses they received for bringing back the glory of Makati. See you there soon!
