Savoring flavorful Spain

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -

Offering an irresistible taste of the good life, Fuego Hotels, led by dapper managing director Alfredo Roca, together with economic commercial councilor Javier Alvarez and National Tourist of Spain director Enrique Ruiz, recently celebrated the grand launch of Flavors of Spain 2008 at the Rockwell Tent. The presence of the diplomatic circle and Manila’s veritable who’s who in high society made the evening a splendid one as the elite crowd enjoyed an exceptional taste of fine wines and classic Spanish cuisine favorites like jamon serrano, manchego and chorizos.

Adding more spice to the occasion was a breathtaking flamenco performance by renowned Spanish dancer Clara Ramona. The fabulous event culminated with Fuego Hotels giving away special gifts such as weekend getaways at Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay and Club Punta Fuego in Batangas to the delight of elated guests.

Congratulations!

Celebrating a partnership

The law firm of Zulueta, Puno and Associates (ZPA) recently tendered a cocktail/dinner reception in honor of lawyers Inocencio Ferrer Jr. and Deinrado Dimalibot, who were admitted as Name Partner and Partner respectively. The guests in attendance were an interesting mix of personalities from the political, business and professional circles. The founding partners of ZPA, lawyers Antonio M. Zulueta and Renato V. Puno, welcomed the crowd of well wishers who were treated to an exquisite menu prepared by the master chefs of the multi-Kalakbay awardee Mandarin Oriental Hotel. With the admission of the new partners, the law Firm Zulueta, Puno and Associates will henceforth be called the Zulueta, Puno and Ferrer Law Offices (ZPF).

Congratulations!

The Mizuno heat is on

Who would have thought that the scorching sun of the third leg of the Mizuno Scramble Golf Classic at the Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club in Sta. Rosa, Laguna would be an advantage for Bones Floro and Vinice Godio? They recently burned up the course shooting a Mizuno scramble best with a nearly flawless 11 under par 61. Led by BMG CEO Lovell Gopez and Master Sports Corp.-Mizuno GM Paolo Cagalingan, the Mizuno Scramble is expected to draw up to 144 participants each leg which then culminates into the Grand Finals and awards night comprising all winning teams from each leg. Meanwhile, Col. Ted Runes and King Sumulong took home top honors in division 1 for the fourth leg at the Eastridge Golf Club which turned out to be a rousing success. Congratulations!
