It’s hard to believe but there are still companies that value nature and evaluate the effects of their products to make sure they don’t pose harmful effects to the environment. Sharp is a company that pursues environment conservation in all its businesses. Sharp Philippines Corp. (SPC) launched its eco-friendly campaign in Edsa Shangri-La Hotel. The company set the place in tune with its clean-green drive and showcased as well its new eco-friendly products.
The company’s newest creations unveiled were the air purifiers with humidifying features that came with Plasmacluster Ion System — proven effective against airborne pollutants; Healsio Steam Oven — that doesn’t need oil for cooking and thus retaining the food nutrients and flavor; and its two environmentally relevant products: thin-film solar panels and a prototype of the solar powered LED street lamps. Also showcased during the event were appliances such as the brand’s new refrigerators, washing machines and new line of LCDs and Aquos TV sets.
A press conference was also held where Sharp introduced its new products for 2008 to the media. The night saw a party to showcase these products. Rovilson Fernandez hosted the day’s event and Precious Lara Quigaman joined him during the night’s program. The guests were entertained with music by Rachel Ann Go and treated with lots of prizes.
President and GM of SPC Kenji Okunaka attended the day together with his colleagues SPC EVP for sales and marketing Emmanuel Valencia, SPC SVP for finance and administration Kazuo Tsuji and VP for marketing Masashi Date. Among the guests during the evening affair were Abenson Inc. president Wilson Lim, Imperial Appliance Plaza’s Rudy Tiu, E.S. Lim’s Jimmy Lim, Automatic Centre’s Sam Frederick Lim, Anson Emporium’s Michelle Keng and Laguna Gov. Ningning Lazaro.

Glamorized!
RCBC Bankard’s Black and Diamond Platinum MasterCard cardholders enjoyed a unique beauty experience as they were “glamorized” by premium cosmetics, skincare and fragrance brand Lancome.
The event sought to pamper its BlackCard Platinum MasterCard and Diamond MasterCard cardholders with a special makeover from Lancome’s team of makeup and skin care experts headed by its chief makeup artist Gela Laurel-Stehmeier. Those who attended the event did not only get a makeover but also brought home their “glamorized” photo taken by fashion photographer Willy Saw.
As an added treat, the ladies were given special discounts on Lancome’s premium fragrances, skin care and cosmetics products. The affair was hosted by RCBC Bankard VP for marketing Abigail Tumbocon, program manager Gay Pallada and Lancome group product manager Dia Lacaba.
