MANILACON 08 (Construction Show Manila 2008) recently put on a construction trade exhibit that highlighted green and sustainable development in the built environment. The primary objectives of the show included fostering professional development in enhancing the environment and putting forward an affordable ECO House for the middle-income Filipino family. The ECO House has received enthusiastic response from trade professionals, the media and the general public. Senate President Manny Villar led the ribbon-cutting ceremonies at the SMX Convention Center. He was joined by Presidential Adviser on Global Warming and Climate Change Heherson Alvarez, Ms. Earth Philippines Karla Paula Henry, Mrs. World Philippines Eimee Cragun, beauty queen Evangeline Pascual and L.A. Witnessing a leap of faith

Feet stomped to the beat and graceful bodies glided through the air as Kessel Dance and Fitness Manila, the newest school of dance and fitness under the helm of multi-faceted entrepreneur and Latin DanceSport champion Anna Marie Periquet, recently opened its branch at the fifth level of Walter Mart Makati. Distinguished guests, notable personalities and dance and fitness aficionados were treated to a spectacular gala show featuring a breathtaking Rumba performance from Anna and her Latin DanceSport champion partner Larry Iguidez Jr. among other show-stopping dance performances.

Seen gracing the fabulous affair were Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay, Walter Mart chairman Wilson Lim, British Ambassador Peter Beckingham, Venezuelan charge d’ affaires Manuel Iturbe and Cuban Ambassador Jorge Rey Jimenez, to name a few. Congratulations!
