A toast to a successful partnership
Carrington Trading Inc. and BASF recently celebrated their joint venture via an appreciation dinner themed “Strengthening Partnerships for Success” at the Blue Leaf Events Pavilion,
Leading the celebration were Carrington Trading founder and CEO Pinky Tobiano and BASF regional manager Andy Postlewaite who both delivered their respective messages of thanks to their business partners.
The two companies held the affair to thank their loyal clients such as cooperatives, livestock farmers, integrators, nutritionists and veterinarians for their unwavering support through the years.
The get-together, hosted by Anthony Pangilinan, welcomed Sen. Loren Legarda, who delivered the night’s words of inspiration. Special guests who shared their messages were Rep. Cynthia Villar, Marikina Mayor Marides Fernando and TV host Tintin Bersola-Babao. Also present during the event were Ilocos Sur Gov. DV Savellano and BAI director Davinio Catbagan.
The night’s entertainment was provided by singer Jasper Manalo as well as actress and model Francine Prieto who performed with The Fox dancers. The League band also played acoustic music. Pop royalty Gary Valenciano closed the night with a powerhouse performance.
Tobiano and Postlewaite presented tokens of appreciation to Francine Prieto, a long-time supporter of the partnership; and their distributors for Luzon, APF Corp.; for Visayas and Mindanao, RNSV Corp. and for Lupromix RT Sons. The toast was led by Ernie Ordonez with Tobiano, Postlewaite, and the Carrington staff. Raffle prizes were also given away to the delight of the guests.

Carrington works directly with BASF in providing solutions and products to livestock and poultry raisers and feed millers through seminars, custom-fit applicator system, preservation of feed ingredients, and the promotion of healthier livestock.
Tobiano is proud of Carrington’s partnership with BASF, stating that theirs is more than just business. She says, “BASF is instrumental in helping ease the continuing food shortage in the country. We are honored to be part of this meaningful venture.”

Celebrating Pinoy style
Nokia honored the country’s best and brightest designers at the mezzanine of Nuvo in
Nokia Philippines GM William Hamilton-Whyte said: “Style remains to be a very important aspect at Nokia. The design of our products is inspired by different trends in style, including those seen at Fashion Watch Quartet. Our involvement in this event is to show our support for local talent and creativity in the world of Philippine fashion.”

Nuvo’s Mezzanine was styled by Robert Blancaflor, who dressed it with sensuous black and white fabrics that were hanged from ceiling to floor. He also did a floral masterpiece for the bar. Designers’ sketches were also placed around the room as guests feasted on Nuvo bar chow such as smoked salmon canapés, scallop tempura, goat cheese in zucchini roll, poached roulade of spring chicken, goose liver pate, chocolate éclairs, mini chocolate decadence, crème brulee, dark and white chocolate mousse and an unlimited supply of wine and martinis.
Others seen were Nokia head of marketing Sandeep Khanna, Joji Dingcong, Patrick Rosas, Ariel Lozada, Thelma San Juan, Anton San Diego, Sari Yap, Grace Molina and Ria Bolivar.
