Toast to Tosca!

Just recently, the Dusit Hotel Nikko introduced Tosca, a superb Italian restaurant located at the hotel’s mezzanine. The evening was a perfect illustration of Italian culture and heritage through the restaurant’s most delectable selection of Italian cuisine. Guests were welcomed by the hotel’s GM Ikuo Itoi, Philippine Hoteliers president Gerhard Kropp and most outstanding resident manager Frank Grassmann. A line-up of the most brilliant opera talents, like opera singer Juan Alberto Gaerlan and pianist Ceejay Javier, entertained the guests with classic Italian songs after being introduced by Tosca’s revered chef Alessio Loddo. Many of the guests were given the opportunity to win fantastic prizes such as free accommodations at the Dusit Hotel Nikko, complimentary use of DFiT fitness studio and a fabulous wine dinner for two at Tosca. It was truly an enjoyable evening.

Cheers to Tosca!

Hoseki shines on

Hoseki, one of the country’s premiere jewelry salons, recently held a one-of-a-kind fashion show –– with real models posing as stationary mannequins on a mini-stage. At the Piano Lobby of the Mall of Asia, male and female professional models showcased breathtaking jewelry masterpieces from Hoseki’s latest collection, the Uber collection. Passers-by were attracted in droves as they posed with the gorgeous hunks and statuesque girls on display. Gracing the venue were visionary Hoseki founder Faico, his lovely and hardworking wife Zabeth Co, young and brilliant Hoseki designers Knoi Esmane and Shamaine Ng, as well as Uber model Troy Montero. Congratulations on a successful event!

A triple victory for Makati

Call it a grand slam or a sweep if you will, but leave it to the amiable Alice Briones when it comes to organizing significantly memorable events. It’s like hitting the jackpot when Alice recently hosted a victory luncheon party for three victorious Makati politicians: Mayor Jojo Binay, Councilor JunJun Binay and one of the loveliest if not the youngest elected public officials, Makati Rep. Abby Binay. Held at the cozy and elegant Le Souffle, which is rapidly becoming the venue of choice for superb fine dining experience and celebration, the party was attended by family friends and their lovely guests. With this development, I’m sure the City of Makati and its constituents will continue to be in safe hands.
