My favorite haunt Nuvo celebrated its fifth anniversary with a Moet and Chandon champagne dinner at the restaurant’s mezzanine for a few select guests hosted by Louie Ysmael and Moet and Hennessy’s regional marketing boss Olga Azarcon. The dinner featured Nuvo’s always fabulous cuisine (with the main course consisting of either US beef tenderloin or sea bass) and Moet and Chandon’s vintage 2000 champagnes. The place was draped in black by party promoters Cacay Moras, Liza Tan and Nuvo’s newest addition to the family, Fran Ribaño, who were on hand to entertain guests.
The celebration continued after dinner and on to the wee hours of the morning as the party extended not only to the main dining area downstairs but also to the covered outdoor area. Hundreds of guests who turned up to celebrate the occasion also enjoyed the overflowing drinks from the restaurant’s industry partners.
Others spotted in the jampacked crowd that night were Better Than Bare’s Juliet and Mimi Tan, Joey Server, Julien Tripet, Krystal Lao, Frank Briones, Chopard’s Cat Arambulo, Trish Briones, Superfly’s Karl Ty, GP Reyes, Chicho Suarez and Ralph Joseph.
Here’s looking forward to several more years of fun in my favorite bar!
