A high-powered tournament

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -
It was a bright sunny day when the Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) Corp. held its First Camry Invitation Cup recently at the Wack Wack Golf & Country Club in Mandaluyong. Hardworking TMP president Hiroshi Ito warmly welcomed the 119 players, composed of valued business partners, individual and corporate clients, friends from the media and their dealership network. Guests of honor Transportation and Communications Secretary Leandro Mendoza, National Treasurer Omar Cruz and LTFRB chairman Thompson Lantion put on their golfing outfits for a day of fun at the greens. Dynamic TMP FVP for marketing Daniel Isla led the team that organized the very successful event.

Toyota awarded the top three players from each of the tournament’s major categories: Dealer, Media and Customers. For the Dealer Division, Don Juan Miguel Oben reigned supreme; Top Gear magazine’s Joey Anciano emerged as champion in the Media Division; while Darly De Roca was the champion of the Customers Division. Due to the success of the event, the Camry Invitational Cup will now be held annually.

Congratulations for a very successful tournament!
‘Saintly’ Josephs
For the occasion, at least!

A thanksgiving Mass and party were held recently for R. Joseph Holdings, Inc., the holding company of the Joseph brothers — Robert, Ralph, Ronnie and Raymond — at the new Travel Lounge along Tramo Street, Pasay City.

The ever-ebullient Joseph brothers were on hand to welcome and entertain guests and exchange banter.

Fine wines from the Joseph-owned Ralph’s Wines and Spirits, which overflowed during the celebration, accompanied paella, crispy toro, callos, gambas and many more delicacies especially prepared by Johnny Midnight Joseph (F&B director, Travel Lounge) and chef Fernando Magaro’s team. Entertainment for the night was provided by the Akafellas led by Robi Joseph, Bobby’s son; TV personality Melissa de Leon Joseph and the eight-piece Century string ensemble.

Robert Lim Joseph, chairman of R. Joseph Holdings, thanked the Joseph companies’ partners and clients for a fruitful relationship over the years.

The R. Joseph Holdings include Philippine Wine Merchants, Ralph’s Wines and Spirits, Coltrans Group of Companies, Celebrity World Productions, Inc., Nuat Sen Corp./Tonton Multipurpose Cooperative and Century Cellar Corp.
‘Tribu Bellosillo’ to hold grand reunion
Tribu Bellosillo formally announces its grand reunion to be held on April 7 to 8 at Baybay Beach, Roxas City. On this occasion, the Bellosillos from far and wide, who are related by blood or affinity, will once again rekindle the spirit of camaraderie and reaffirm the solidarity that sustained them through the years.

These red-letter days of frolic and merry-making will culminate in the conferment of honors to the members of the clan who have distinguished themselves in their chosen fields, and the recognition of the college graduates for the past two years, which coincides with the term of Tribu’s president.

The executive committee headed by its president, Justice Josue N. Bellosillo, wishes to extend its gratitude to those who continue to extend their support for the success of this great event for the Bellosillos.

In his message, Justice Bellosillo said that the Tribu members "have gone far and wide in search for knowledge, for their rightful place in the sun, and then riding high on the crest of success not the least of which is gaining the respect and goodwill of a benevolent and appreciative community!"

Meanwhile, all members are urged to make the necessary reservations for their transportation and accommodation immediately because of the summer season.

(For more information, please call 522-1164 or 522-0828 or see the Secretariat of Tribu Bellosillo c/o Dasal Llasos and Associates Law Offices, Suite 1108, Pearl of the Orient Tower, Roxas Boulevard, Ermita, Manila.)
