Heaven on earth is how visitors describe Palawans ultimate vacation getaway, Club Paradise. This tropical 19-hectare island of Dimakya is just a short hop from the Busuanga airport at the northern tip of Palawan. With its breathtaking sights and top-class facilities, it is nature at its purest and most beautiful. Guests here have a chance to enjoy a long list of enjoyable activities such as luxuriating in 700-meters of sun-kissed white sand beach, diving in turquoise waters sheltering a spectacular coral reef, night swimming in the pool, exploring the beauty of nearby islands and visiting Calauit Sanctuary and the awe-inspiring Cayangan Lake. Jayelles Roselle Rebano experienced this natural haven with family and friends through an idyllic vacation filled with fun and new adventures.
Come to Paradise now and be swept away by the wonders of Mother Nature!
An exquisite retail appreciation dinner was organized by Dr. Emelita Roleda of Essilab Philippines, Inc. at the Taipan Restaurant of the premier, by-invitation-only business club, Tower Club. Essilabs supporters, among them doctors and professionals, came in droves to celebrate the companys successes and triumphs. Guests partook of the fabulous array of sumptuous Oriental dishes especially prepared by Tower Clubs skilled chefs. Essilabs commitment in bringing the best to its customers can only continue and flourish!
A lively and colourful gathering of the Consular Corps of the Philippines which showcased the richness of Filipino culture was met with much cheer and appreciation by its members recently. This unique Fellowship Cocktails held at Tiendesitas, Pasig Citys newest shopping and family entertainment destination owned by Ortigas and Company, was led by El Salvador Honorary Consul Francisco Ortigas III, who also heads Ortigas and Company.
Highlighted by a sumptuous spread of native favorites such as baked and steamed oysters, fresh lumpia, crispy shrimps and homemade paella courtesy of the effervescent beauty Susie Ortigas, the affair gathered a Filipino dance troupe from Angono, Rizal, who enjoined the guests to dance the tinikling and other local dances. It was indeed one of the most memorable gatherings in the Corps history!
No less than Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo herself graced the second Philippine Relay for Life of the Philippine Cancer Society at the Amoranto Sports Complex in Quezon City. Accompanied by Secretary of Health Dr. Francisco Duque III, Quezon City Mayor Sonny Belmonte Jr., Philam Group CEO Jose Cuisia Jr. and Philippine Cancer Society chairman Dr. Roberto Paterno, and PCS president Dr. George Eufemio, the President led the opening lap of cancer survivors.
Relay for Life is a groundbreaking way of raising money for cancer research and awareness. It was a whole night camp-out attended by over 3,000 people where teams took turns walking or jogging around the track and pledging support for each lap completed. The memorable event also featured a program of entertainers, celebrities, important personalities and cancer survivors, all one in celebrating life and providing support for cancer victims. I laud the Philippine Cancer Society for another excellent fund-raising campaign this year!
