If one were to judge the quality of socialite Mely Hechanovas life, the adjectives one would use would be rich, colorful and full of meaning. This fact was ever so evident in Melys recent 73rd birthday celebration where she radiated a kind of unique glow that can only be ascribed to very few people who have reached the pinnacle of success and fulfillment. The grandiose celebration at the exclusive North Forbes Pavilion where she was joined by loving husband Paing was filled with personalities from the social, political, philanthropic and banking sectors. Mely saw to it that the attendance was limited to close friends and family, who were all entertained in grand Mely fashion, complete with choice gourmet dishes from La Tasca and elegant table settings that bespoke of her inimitable taste.
Several facets of Melys past activities were also revealed that memorable evening. Very few people knew that aside from being a known socialite in the 50s and 60s, Mely was an athlete at the Assumption Convent, adept at playing basketball, golf and softball. Apart from her sporty side, she was also a graceful swan, modeling for Slims couture. Today, she has made her mark as a gracious hostess, a nurturing mother and a generous benefactor to her many philanthropic endeavors. This lady is truly one-of-a-kind.
Happy birthday and more to come, dearest Mely!
