Two nations united

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -
A well-attended cocktail party in honor of Gambian President Alhaji Dr. Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh was successfully organized by the ever vibrant Honorary Consul to Gambia, Agnes Huibonhua. The colorful affair at the Mandarin was full of remembrances of the guests’ encounters with the President, and the harmonious relations built between Gambia and the Philippines throughout the years.

Sharing their experiences were former Philippine President Fidel Ramos, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, Libyan Ambassador to the Philippines Salem Adam, Canadian Ambassador to the Philippines Peter Sutherland and Beth Day-Romulo. Other special guests were former Senator Loren Legarda, Babes Romualdez and Art Lopez. The amazing success of the party only means continued friendship for the two nations for many years to come.

A birthday surprise
Maricor Nieto

The wonderful little affair was made memorable by the scrumptious small plate specialties of Mezze and famous Spanish dishes from the now-defunct Doña Nena’s restaurant.
