This is my life!

Nobody needs stress. Fila recognizes this in its new campaign, "This is My Life," which embraces the brand’s relaxed Italian sensibility and passion for living life to the fullest. The brand has combined sports, leisure, casual and fashion wear in one category for the busy individuals like model Bianca Araneta, tennis champ Chase Tinio, basketball player JR Wacker, race-car driver Pepon Marave, and model Robby Mananquil. They are the new faces behind the brand’s campaign.

Fila garments are multi-dimensional and utilitarian. They have innovative designs with more color and playful cuts, retaining the brand’s classic and clean lines.

"We want to be more dynamic and versatile," explains iSport Life general manager and vice president Cris Albert. "We constantly innovate to reach our goals of catering to the changing facets of our customers’ lifestyles. We want people to be more comfortable and relaxed throughout the day without having to worry about looking drab."

These fashionable clothes were shown during the Fila Cup held at the Manila Polo Club, sponsored by Prince of Jaipur, V Bar, Dan and Jim for Fila teen apparel, Shirts Depot for Fila kids apparel, Tokyo Pacific for Fila socks, Euro Asia Apparel for Fila ladies and men’s apparel, Here’s Life for Fila golf line and FILAM Bags for Fila bags.

Among those who participated in the tournament were Bobby Aguirre, Iñigo Zobel, Dino and Dondi Santos, Vince Bitong and Santi Elizalde.

A fashion show, directed by Rem Zamora, styled by Angelo Villanueva, hosted by JR Isaac and organized by Anna Bitong, highlighted Bianca Araneta exiting from a Ferrari.

For the love of Ness

>Nestor Jardin, president of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), is widely respected as a leading figure in the cultural community. He rose from the ranks of CCP to the top post and is considered by artists as one of their own.

Ness, as he is fondly known, was the former artistic director of Ballet Philippines. When he celebrated his birthday recently, members of the CCP’s board of trustees gathered for an intimate dinner hosted in his honor by trustee Nedy Tantoco together with former CCP chairman and president Bal Endriga, who called Ness "the best president the CCP has ever had."

At the pre-dinner cocktails, soprano Rachel Gerodias entertained guests with arias from operatic classics. Chef Gaita Fores catered the dinner and added a delicious native touch to classical Italian fare. It was a fitting tribute to a refined man of culture with an appealing down-to-earth touch.

A blue ridge carhaus

Goodyear Servitek recently launched its latest outlet along E. Rodriguez Avenue in Libis.  It is owned by Ronald Singson who acknowledged in his speech that he always wanted to have his own car shop as a kid and this was a dream come true.

The party started way before the unveiling of the sign of the new shop with cocktails being passed around the guests as early as 6 p.m. The sign, covered with black cloth, was unveiled by Gov. Chavit Singson, Secretary Mike Defensor, Quezon City Mayor Sonny Belmonte, Francisco Tiu-Laurel, Luli Arroyo and Ronald. 

After Goodyear president David Morin presented Ronald with a symbol of partnership, the party continued. Also seen at the party were Rep. Charlie Cojuangco, Patrick Garcia, Douglas Quijano, Alessandra de Rossi, Jeremy Marquez, Tintin Arnaldo, Tania Garcia, Maricar de Mesa, Resty Vergara, Andrew and Alex Lopez, Gabby de la Merced, Arnold Trinidad, and Rambo and Apet Nuñez.
