Stylish businessman Al Tengcos birthday gatherings are always something to look forward to. The company is great, the food fantastic, and the drinks superb. Als lovely wife Carla meticulously prepares the menu and plans the party.
This years party at their residence was an intimate gathering of friends. Cibo catered different types of pasta, including a delicious angulas pasta dish. Carla prepared her special fish loaf and her super yummy croquetas de bacalhau.
A large selection of vodka, wine and champagne was also served throughout the evening.
Since Al has a passion for watch collecting, a cake specially made by Marte Matute featured various watches on the cake. The cake looked so beautiful. It was heartbreaking to cut, but it tasted as good as it looked.
Others seen at the party were Conkoy Tuason, Johnny Velasquez, Sinai Djemal, Jack and Cecille Atienza and Choy Cojuangco.
Happy birthday, Al.
Omegas latest line of watches, the Constellation Double Eagle, was launched in a special celebrity golf tournament dubbed "The Omega Cup" in Rancho Palos Verdes, Davao City.
The watch companys international involvement in golf includes two prestigious international events: the Omega European Masters in Cans Montana and the Omega Hong Kong Open; and two golfers, Ernie Els and Sergio Garcia are among those product endorsers.
The companys sales and marketing project manager Oliver Hugentobler flew in from Switzerland and said, "as a sport of character, golf is perfect for a watch manufacturer such as Omega to be involved in. The prestige Swiss brand is one of the few watchmakers in the world to boast of a history and tradition that can compete with that of the noble sport of golf."
At a welcome dinner reception at the Marco Polo Davao Hotel, the stage was set up in the middle of the infinity pool. Guests were caught by surprise when after the short program people started jumping into the swimming pool to collect five pieces of the Omega logo. Ma. Angelina Tirol took home an Omega watch getting the most logos.
The playing field was divided into four classes A, B, C and the Ladies Division. Celebrities who participated in the event were Ogie Alcasid, Hajji Alejandro, Archie Castillo, Jong Cuenco, John Estrada, Mike Gayoso, Gary Lising, Calvin Millado, Maru, Val and Vic Sotto, Anjo and Jomari Yllana.
Later in the afternoon, the new Omega Constellation Double Eagle was introduced with the special participation of the Philippine Eagle Malagos Garden. Soaring high up above the sunny sky, the eagle carrying the watch landed on center stage.
The new watch collection is named after a special feat in golf, representing a score of three under par. The double eagle is also known as an albatross.
The awards dinner reception was held at the hotels ballroom. Over-all champion was former Sen. Tito Sotto. For the Mens Division: Class A, Richard Gomez; Class B, Tony Reyes; and Class C, Jake Roxas; Ladies Division, Paulina Sotto. A special prize, Most Exercised Player award, was given to Jestoni Alarcon.
The second runners-up were Manuel Torres (Class C), Buboy Garovillo (Class B), Eduardo Panggat (Class A) and Nadia Montenegro (Ladies Division); first runners-up Ian Veneracion (Class C), Ariel Rivera (Class B), Joey Marquez (Class A) and Marlene de la Peña (Ladies Division).
A glass trophy made by sculptor Bobby Castillo was given to all the winners. A performance from Side A and impromptu songs from Richard Gomez, Martin Nievera and John Estrada provided entertainment.
The latest Omega line is available as a chronometer or chronograph-chronometer at the showroom in Glorietta.
>It was both a happy and sad occasion at Segafrado when friends of G Tongi see her and her husband, Tim Walters. It was great to see a huge gathering of friends but it was quite a sad occasion as well since it was Gs farewell party before flying to Los Angeles.
More than two years ago, G signed a contract to be the brands sole image model. Sheree Gotuaco of Freeway was around to support G and even gave out Freeway loot bags to each of Gs guests.
To G and Tim, the best of luck to you both and we hope to see you again in Manila soon.
