Fine furniture, fine company

my LIPS are SEALED… sometimes… - Maurice Arcache -
There is nothing more enjoyable than seeing a pretty women hugging bouquets of pretty flowers at a party, dahlings. Then, try to imagine that her backdrop just happens to be a stylish, modern furniture store.

Well, that was the exact sight moi saw when Corvelli, a new, classy furniture and home accents space that is all about modern European design, officially opened at the lifestyle section of the Rockwell Center’s Power Plant Mall.

As pretty, pretty women arrived – the likes of Ces Drilon, Ana Buenaventura and Corvelli’s Daisy del Rosario – each received a bouquet of bright orange tulips. Not surprisingly, the ladies did not let go of the flowers from the time the ceremonial curtains were pulled until all invitees exited.

Besides the pretty ladies and the pretty flowers, the guests were delighted by the stunning furniture. A plush living room featured Biarritz sofas standing on matte silver steel. A dining area showed off rich furry chairs of black and zebra prints, a frosted glass tabletop that has silver gilded legs and Zen-style ceramic plates on top of it. Furry ottomans shared the same space as did suede sofas in an area also decorated with African wooden statues accents.

This modern mix is Corvelli’s formula for being on the top of the design heap for 25 solid years, palanggas.

The popular Ambassador of the Netherlands Theo Arnold, who was the exhibiting artist that evening, opened the night with the unveiling. He was assisted by five beautiful women who embody the Corvelli style – outrageously stylish interior designer Tessa Prieto-Valdes; PSID brilliant president Charo Yujuico; gorgeous Susan Reyes; super elegant Ching Cruz; and the Dutch Ambassador’s wife, tall, exotic eye-catcher Kessara Arnold.

Paul Cornelissen
, the driving force of Corvelli, lent a hand with his nice wife Gela.

Ambassador Arnold’s paintings of gorgeous tulips were exhibited that night. Proceeds of the affair will benefit the RSCC-Orphanage in Lubao, Pampanga. Moi zoomed in on hot namedroppables like Austrian Ambassador Christian Krepela and his wife Irmgard; Venezuelan Ambassador Milena Santana-Ramirez; Bea Montelibano; Bertie Yujuico; top-of-the-line photographer and photo processor expert, Bengy Toda; Paul Henri and Constance Duillet; Isay Alvarez; Robert Seña; Raul Montesa; and Michael Stamati; plus so many others like them who were fascinated by the furnishing.

Corvelli is behind the famous romantique shop-in-a-shop concept Galerie Clair, sold during the past two decades in Germany, Holland, France and Switzerland. Their young, new and modern design shop formula Georgio Design is the most successful shop concept in Holland.

Corvelli’s collections always have a special signature. They are recognizable by their trendy models and colors. With fabric, leather and other parts from Europe, the furniture is assembled in the Philippines and then exported to countries all over the world.

Check Corvelli out, palanggas. You just might be another Corvelli discoverer.
