Ce-boom!

Count on Bench to stage an event that will again go down in fashion history, dahlings! Cebuanos experienced what Manileños raved about when Bench staged its One Night Only, The Bench Underwear and Denin Show at Cebu City’s colossal, super popular Waterfront Hotel.

Proof that the show was a mega success was the way Cebu’s alta sociedad brought the house down with their applause and cheers on that night of kitschy elegance, decadent fun, and stylish debauchery, palanggas. Only for one glorious night.

The year’s most anticipated fashion extravaganza unveiled for Cebu’s fashionable set what could be the lifestyle brand’s hottest underwear collection to date.

A variety of new and exciting designs were modeled for the first time on the catwalk–from denim-inspired to other innovatively conceptualized fabrics that make up the latest hard-to-beat Bench underwear collection, dahlings.

The denim fabric line, obviously inspired by the Bench Overhauled Denim, fused the modern sensibilities of jeans with the simple ease of underwear.

Bench’s wide array of underwear designs and cuts, dahlings, ranged from the classic sports briefs; hipster sports to classic in-band briefs and semi-tangas in Tactel; Lycra and Modal fabrics; sport boxer briefs; and the hipster boxer briefs.

All were especially designed to meet just about anyone’s underwear requirements: comfort and durability. Made of 100 percent high-grade imported absorbent cotton fabric that allows both the male and the female bodies to breathe easily, the undergarments allow freedom of movement without sacrificing support.

Since the show was a fusion of denim and underwear, Bench jeans also conquered the runway alongside Bench underwear. Overhauled jeans, considered the latest face of denim, boldly combined spunky originality with technology, resulting in denims that give utmost comfort, better fit and easy wearability.

Another Bench creation that made its inaugural appearance that night for the Cebuanos’ eyes was the Overhauled Reversible jeans line which evolved from years of denim fashion experience and technological savvy grounded on the jeans’ sewing and pattern making.

Claiming the catwalk that night were Bench image models Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres-Gomez, natch; original Bench underwear model Jomari Yllana; Jon Hall; Francis Ricafort; Wendell Ramos; Antonio Aquitana; Marc Nelson; and Robby Mananquil, all fresh from their runway success at the Araneta show. They were joined by gorgeous babes like the stunningly beauty Aya Medel; Aubrey Miles; and super eye-catching Tutay Maristela.

Cebu’s most beautiful namedroppables led by the illustrious Torres and Lhuillier clans, PR maven Jing Ramos and Edu and Honey Loop Jarque, plus loads of hotshots from Cosmo Manille had a blast at the show and at the post-event celebrations superbly organized by Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino (natch!) and that upscale Cebu magazine, Zee.

Waterfront F & B director, mega energetic, workaholic and good-looking Marco Protacio, no less, and his rah! rah! team made sure everything went smoothly.

Leave it to Bench to present another first which just happened to be another great affair at the fabi Waterfront.

Everybody asked moi after seeing the fabi Bench show in Cebu, "Why was it only for one night?"
