MANILA, Philippines (First published Feb. 20) — The International Criminal Court will hold a confirmation of charges hearing from February 23 to 27, 2026 against former President Rodrigo Duterte over alleged crimes against humanity linked to his war on drugs.

During the pre-trial proceeding, ICC judges will determine whether there are “substantial grounds to believe” the case should proceed to a full trial.
