WATCH: Miguel Zubiri enters Senate race

MANILA, Philippines — Former Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri said on Wednesday upon filing his certificate for candidacy that election surveys encouraged him to seek another term in the Senate.
Zubiri, who filed his certificate for candidacy, said he opted to run independently so as not to be swayed by agenda of groups.
He resigned from the Senate in 2011 after allegations of election fraud.
