SAN FERNANDO, La Union — Pampanga-born Col. Christensen Hsu of the United States Army's medical brigade recently returned to the Philippines as part of the Pacific Partnership.

She began making trips to provide medical attention to a sick newborn and his family living in a local village.

Hsu said months-old baby John has been malnourished due to his cleft lip and palate that prevent him from eating well.
