SINGAPORE — Daniel Franklin, executive editor of British publication The Economist, interviewed President Benigno Aquino III during his working visit in Singapore on Tuesday.
Aquino talked about his recent meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Manila's pending participation in the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Philippine government's bid to "build back better" a year after experiencing the wrath of super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).
The conversation, touching on Aquino's domestic and foreign policies, was light, casual and, at times, even humorous.
