VIRAL: Italy's famous singing nun releases 'Like a Virgin' cover
MANILA, Philippines - The nun who won Italy’s The Voice released a music video of Madonna’s pop classic song ‘Like a Virgin,’ and she does not feel weird about singing the lyrics.
“I chose it myself. Without any desire to provoke or scandalize,” she told Avvenire, a Catholic newspaper.

During her interview on The Voice, Sicilian sister Cristina Scucci said that she chose to appear on the show in pursuit of Pope Francis' appeal for the Catholic church to reach out in new and creative ways to the masses. Thus, her singing journey began.
She shot to fame when she performed ‘No One’ by Alicia Keys during her audition on the Voice Italy. Her video caught the social media’s attention and went viral, with 62 million views on YouTube.
